Build the open Internet with us
The Autheo Foundation is a Wyoming nonprofit stewarding the next chapter of open-source blockchain infrastructure. We are actively hiring across engineering, programs, ecosystem, communications, and operations. If our mission resonates with you, we want to hear from you, even if you do not see your exact role listed.
A small team with outsized impact
We support builders, researchers, and communities advancing the open Internet. The Foundation operates independently from the Autheo commercial entity, funds public-goods work, and maintains the governance practices that make the network trustworthy for partners, grantees, and users.
Mission over hype
We are stewards, not speculators. The Foundation works on the durable, unglamorous parts of an ecosystem: grants, governance, education, and standards. That focus attracts people who care about long-horizon outcomes.
Globally distributed
Our community spans 30+ countries across six continents. We work remote-first, hire across time zones, and value people who can collaborate asynchronously while showing up when it matters.
Real ownership
Small teams move quickly. You will own outcomes, ship to production or publication, and see your work cited by the broader ecosystem. We hire people who are ready to lead a workstream, not just execute on one.
Where we are growing
We are actively hiring across the following areas. We are also open to people whose strengths do not map cleanly to any of these. If you can make the Foundation better, please apply.
Engineering and protocol
Smart contract engineers, security researchers, infrastructure operators, and protocol contributors who can support the Autheo network and the open-source projects the Foundation funds.
Programs and grants
Program managers, grants officers, and operations leads who can run the grant program, ambassador network, hackathons, and educational initiatives end to end.
Ecosystem and partnerships
Business development, partnerships, and ecosystem-engineering leads who can bring builders, enterprises, and institutional partners into the Autheo orbit.
Communications and content
Writers, technical educators, developer-relations leads, and content strategists who can explain what the Foundation does and why it matters, in plain language.
Policy, legal, and compliance
Policy specialists, regulatory analysts, and compliance professionals interested in shaping how decentralized infrastructure interacts with global regulatory regimes.
Operations and people
Finance, people operations, and general-management roles supporting a small, fully remote nonprofit moving from formation into operating maturity.

A focused working session relevant to the role. Time-boxed and designed to show how we collaborate, not to test trivia.
Final conversations
Conversations with the people you would work with most closely, followed by a written offer.
Open to a variety of applicants
The Autheo Foundation evaluates applicants on the merits of their experience, judgment, and fit with the mission. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. We welcome candidates from non-traditional backgrounds, including self-taught builders, career changers, and people returning to work after a break.
